The UK Government has issued a Horizon 2020 Technical Notice.
The Technical Notice, entitled ‘Horizon 2020 funding if there’s no Brexit deal’, is one of a series of UK Government Technical Notices being issued to provide UK and EU organisations with relevant information in relation to the implications of a ‘no deal’ Brexit.
Amongst other issues, the Horizon 2020 Technical Notice provides further information on:
- the scope of the guarantee and the guarantee extension;
- the need to discuss issues around third country participation with the EC;
- the Government’s consideration of measures to support UK Research and Innovation in a no deal scenario; and
- the systems being developed by UKRI to ensure that payments can continue to current UK Horizon 2020 recipients in a ‘no deal’ scenario.
The UK Government has also updated its UK participation in Horizon 2020: UK government overview with Q&A to reflect the latest information contained in the Technical Notice.
