Nina Shiel

Dr Nina Shiel (she/her or they/them) is the Horizon Europe Northern Ireland Contact Point for Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Research.  She provides strategic guidance, proposal support and awareness raising on inter- and transdisciplinary research, particularly in terms of involving AHSS fields in collaborative research as equal and meaningful partners. Nina is very experienced at European research culture and expert at gender in research as well as at research ethics & integrity.

Nina is based at Queen’s University Belfast and she has worked in roles focused on European funding, European research strategy and interdisciplinary research in institutions in the Republic of Ireland and the UK for over 10 years.
